Old Hat
The four of us just ate at Straw Hat, Anguilla. The arrogance of the owner and his wife can be cut with a knife when one walks in. But...there is nothing to be arrogant about here.

The recommended hand made egg rolls were from a freezer package. My friend and I ordered "just caught Grouper." Perhaps it was not just caught there or the chef overcooked it. Mashed potatoes like a poor diner. My husband ordered scallops that were heavily spiced, rendering the scallop taste not present. Our third guest, didn't like his meal, so much so that we didn't order dessert or coffee which we had [elsewhere].

One last piece of information. Straw Hat has lost its chef. Need I say more?    [25 May 2008 13:35:36]
