Water view dining We stopped here two times for lunch. The first visit was around 1 PM and there was about a 15 minute wait for a table. The second time we came at 2:30 PM and was seated immediately. This is a very busy location, especially if there is a ship at the cruise dock (the 2nd visit there were 2 cruise ships in port). If you can get a table near the railing there is a nice breeze and you can watch the bustke of the tourists on the street below.
The serving portions are generous and this is one of the few places in Aruba that offers free refills of your soft drinks. We enjoyed the food both times, it's not gourmet but the food is good and quite reasonably priced.
Our server on the first visit was good even thought the placer was packed. He handled the load very well with everything coming as ordered and refills there when needed. On our second visit the waiter was gone for long periods evne though the restaurant was not so busy and he didn't seem to have too many tables. Guess that's the luck of the draw as the other tables around us seemed to get prompt service.
As for ambiance, this is a very popular place in a busy area so don't expect romantic dining, but it is on the second floor and open to the trade winds with a view of the harbor and LG Smith Blvd, the main street of the capital, so if you like people watching this is a good place. We will stop here again the next time we visit Aruba. [16 Mar 2007 22:31:42]
