Nothing special
We stopped for a mid-afternoon meal overlooking the harbor. We both had the wiener schnitzel and a side salad, as well as several soft drinks.

The food was OK, but there was no choice of salad dressings, just the house which resembled a creamy vinaigrette. I am spoiled by the places back home that give free refills of soft drinks, but not here in a busy resort area. Each diet Coke cost $2.50 and the iced tea was $3 for each glass full (about 8 ounces).

There was a cruise ehip in town so the place was quite busy when we arrived, then the cruise folks headed back to the ship and the place was almost deserted (but the service didn't get much faster).

Overall, it was OK but I was hoping for more. Next time I am down town I will try one of the many other spots near the harbor.    [02 Mar 2007 13:40:00]

We love this place
My wife and I have been to Aruba six times and each time we go we look forward to the Paddock. No, it's not the very best food on the island (there's some awesome dining on Aruba), but it's a great value, especially at lunch (try the fish sandwich, its always fresh). The beer is cold and not overpriced and we got free refills on soda when we had the kids. The people that run it have always been friendly and courteous. The atmosphere is European and the culture is different, but the people are very nice, the food is good and they'll let you sit there for hours by the water just enjoying yourself.    [06 May 2007 22:01:05]

The Paddock Restaurant in Aruba
Not only was our male waiter rude, never refilled our drinks, food was burnt and they would not replace it, but three out of six of us got very ill.    [01 Aug 2007 18:38:06]
