benjamas
besides the tacky take away chinese-esk decore (which is not without its charm), Benjamas was quick with totally decent service. plus the food was great... (and i mean great). i was hung over and craving tofu when i stumbled in there for takeaway one night. and the food made me feel compeled to write this review. (not a small feat - let me tell you). in a town where thai is done to death benjamas does it exceptionally well. and caters to vegetarians (always a plus - especially in my books)... OK, so it's not Prasits on Crown St, but this is the best Thai you are likely to find in Newcastle. Good value, good value, always busy, you can't go wrong.    [10 Sep 2003 01:59:06]
