A friend and I dined at Danny's On High, Penrith tonight - 20th April 2004.

Service was polite.

Bruschetta - cold and pastry burnt

Prawns entree - deep fried, we were not expecting this, we considered that if they were deep fried it would be noted on the menu.

Pasta Carbonara, entree - dry sauce, bland taste

Napolitana Pizza - anchovies very thick through pizza. Pizza very sloppy, runny and not able to be picked up to be eaten. Too salty.

Boscailoa Chicken - this dish came out looking like a grey lump on the plate. It was a very, very salty sauce, mushrooms were too mushy and had caused the sauce to take on too much of a grey tinge. Even now remembering the sight of it ( a grey lumpy mass) makes me feel ill, and the saltiness was way too much, my friend was appalled at how salty it was.

A waitress did come over and ask if everything was 'okay' and we had to be honest and say that 'no it wasnt'. Nothing was said to us after our complaint so we left, not having coffee.
A very disappointing night, considering we had chosen this restaurant for a special occasion.

I agree with the first person
My work friend and I where booked into Dannys( so they knew we were coming. We had burnt garlic bread for starters.
Pizza for entrees, all the pizzas tasted the same, cold and bland.
We were to have pasta for mains but after asking 4 times and 1 hour we left.

Danny's is the a wonderful resturant. My girlfriends and I go there all the time. Food is fresh and well priced. The waiter we had was great. Always asking if everything was ok.    [06 Jan 2005 06:37:20]

I have been to Danny's on High over 10 times now and each time I have been greeted with FRIENDLY, HELPFUL service - way above and beyond what I have experience anywhere else.

Their pizza's are absolutely beautiful! And these are only exceeded by the beautiful pastas.

Amazing experience great prices
I'm a regular at Danny's and I must say it is the best place to dine in Penrith. They have a huge menu, great prices and quick friendly service. They are also great for large groups and have nice setmenus.    [14 Nov 2005 17:03:41]

Valentine's Day Dinner at Danny's on High :(
Valentine's Day we booked a table for 4 for 7.30. We were seated on arrival. Waited 10 mins for waitress to serve us. When she did we were told she could take our drink and entree order but we could not order main meal, and she did not know when we would be able to as they were just to busy. We ordered drinks, did not want entrees only main meals. Drinks arrived then we waited and waited and waited till almost 8 o'clock, on speaking to waitress we were told we still could not order our mains, and she still didnt know when we would be able to. We complained a bit more and she went to talk to Manager? she came back and said I will take your order then I asked so can you tell us how long it will be and she said no she couldnt tell us, we ended up asking for the bill for drinks so we could leave and go somewhere else, she came back and said we could have them for free. We left very disappointed as it was supposed to be a special occassion and will never go back there and will NOT recommend it to anyone else.
We went to Silver Spur where we had drinks and entree within 5 mins and our mains in 15 mins, could not fault the service or food it was excellent at Silver Spur.    [15 Feb 2006 01:26:00]

Finally Good Pasta in Penrith
I'm a Penrith local and have found that most of the local places have lost their touch & taste!
I found Dannys on High to be a great place with beautiful atmosphere, hot, fresh & tasty food (Aside from parsley as a garnish on everything!!). I have been with groups of 2 up to around 40 and have had the same quality & service each and every time. Good job to Danny and all the staff!    [17 Apr 2006 22:22:05]

Danny Your the Best
