tasty food Ok, despite everyone being into fancy restaurants where they give you some ridiculously small portion of food that wouldn't even fill my pet mouse's stomach, mama's kitchen actually provides you with a decent portion of food for a decent price. I don't know why people always think that price and the look of the restaurant make the food taste better...i mean if you go to some fancy restaurant in darlinghurst they serve you the exact same food but they just put it in a fancy plate and have a nicer looking restaurant...BUT the food tastes just the same...and your fooling yourself if you think it does. this places pasta taste just the same as every other italian restaurant. One thing i have to admit is that there pizza beats any other place hands down. there vegetarian pizza is delicious. but i find i always have to ask for extra tomato paste otherwise they are little stingy....but its a damn tasty pizza...i'ts just the base they use..there pizza base makes it taste really nice..and they aren't stingy on the topping like some of those supposedly "gourmet" restaurants...that make you food look all fancy but don't put s... all worth of topping on it and all you are eating is raw pizza base....this place uses no frills plates and knives and forks and no frills decor, but the food is just as tasty as any other restaurant. I don't know how there other restaurants taste, but the haymarket one in chinatown next to reading cinemas is nice because its right next to my uni. [12 Sep 2005 20:49:43]
