Cosy Wandering down Lygon St, we were attracted into this restaurant with a promise of good food and some free wine (which turned out to be a quite drinkable house red). It's small and slightly cramped, but with a lovely quiet ambiance. We began with Whitebait which came in generous amounts, nice hot crispy batter, and a delicious thick sauce. I followed up with Chili crab - which was delicious but extremely messy - don't attempt this whilst wearing white clothes! My compainions had Calamari (unfortunately quite tough and too heavily crumbed) and Steak (not bad). Since seafood is the forte of this restaurant this is certainly what'd I'd stick to. Disgusted Although the service was quick and cheery, the food was revolting and the only reason my friend and I stayed was because of the shiraz we were given for free. The caconda was awful. [30 Jul 2004 00:57:02]

It was not nice The waitress was wonderful and service was fast but the food was HORRIBLE and the old man only lured us with free wines. I regret being sucked into this restaurant. [02 Jul 2005 22:37:14]
