Outstanding Experience
This was the most amazing restaurant experience I've had in ages, and it happend upon us under odd circumstnaces... taking refuge from rain and dreadful traffic we decided on the spur of the moment to try this tiny restaurant.

There was no printed menu - just a few select dishes on the specials board - which spoke well to us from the start, assuming (correctly) that whatever was being presented would be the best of the season, even the day.

After ordering (tricky, despite the small choice as everything sounded too good to miss!) we were given small tastes of red capsicum pesto on crunchy toast... so delicious I wondered if I could order a large plate of that for my entree! Then my entree came and I didn't even miss the scrumptios pesto. The sweetest creamiest home made pate I've ever had, and hot, yes hot, olives in a little dish, with generous amounts of hot, thin, crunchy toast. Heaven!

The mains were gourgously presented, with lots of little touches that made them extra special.

Are you hungry now too? I am, so I'll stop now before urging you to try this amazing restaurant! It is very tiny, so do book ahead or you might be disappointed.

The ambience is lovely - cosy and dark but not a bit gloomy, and the service is excellent (one sister serves as hostess while the othr sister and their mother work magic in the kitchen).    [27 Jul 2004 22:26:12]
