Excellent place!
This is what I call a great place. I've been there once on business and found it so good that I simply had to take my wife there.

It's not the cheapest place around - forget the 2 Euro signs for Price, it's 3+, but it is really worth it.

Any given day the owner/chef himself tours the tables with the list of available foods - absolutely fresh and therefore a choice that varies from day to day. To hear him explain already brings water to your mouth.

Wines are reasonably priced and there are some really good ones.

Highly recommended !
The party starts when chef and owner John comes to your table and explains what the menu has to offer. The way he describes the dishes, you can already taste them (now that's a light calory menu !).

As soon as you start tasting the food, you can only think in superlatives. The food at De Troubadour is honest and fresh, the combinations vary from classic to daring (without being inedible as is often the case). The prices are reasonable: lunch (starter, main course - with a choice of 3 different dishes - and dessert) was 25 euro.    [20 Dec 2003 11:31:17]
