Over rated.
Whilst this is called the elite of the elite in terms of Brussels restaurants. I was sadly disappointed. Comme Chez Soi is undeniably overated. The cuisine is excellent, the service good, but that's to be expected for the hefty price tag that accompanies every meal here. Booking are difficult to get unless booked well in advance, and you can usually expect to run into someone famous here.

The questions is, do you really want to pay through the nose for a meal which many of the other restaurants in Brussels can prepare at a fraction of the cost, just to meet a celebrity that probably doesn't want to meet you?

Doubly overrated
Superb food? yes! Outstanding service? yes. Qiet dinner? NO!!!! The tables are stacked the one against the other so you can't even have a private conversation and hear your neighbours' conversatgion even when they whisper. Does your wife or female campnion have to go to the lasdies' room? You'll have to get off your chair and ask one of the waiters to pull te table back so she can exctract herself from her place.
Overpriced for equally excellent food you can get elsewhere for half the price/ Going to the seaside? Try "Bistro Rabelais" at De Haan where they serve comparable ousatanding dishes for less money.    [14 Aug 2004 04:41:46]
