Marvelous!
We went to this cosy restaurant on February 14th to celebrate our love, and it was something I will never forget. They offered us a special menu for saint-valentine, and the presentation of the dishes was unique: you could really see that the chef had thought about everything, and that everything was handled with the most possible care. That also showed in the wonderful taste of the lobster: never have I tasted something that good. And every dish surprised us more than the previous one; just when you thought you had the best of the best, the splendid waitresses came with something even better.

Not only did we love the food; my husband (who is a wine amateur) was in seventh heaven when he saw the wines the restaurant served: you find tasty and still cheap wines, but you can also drink a chateau petrus of 1976 or a mouton rotschild.

About the location itself, I can only say WOW: the restaurant is on the country side, so when you sit in their romantic garden you can see miles far. Inside it was very picturesque and there was a nice atmosphere.
Slependamme is one of the places I know I will definitely go back, and not only with my husband, but also with my children ( as they are treated extemely well there, and love to go there because of the big garden too), and to have parties (up to about 30 people i guess).

After some recommendations from friends I have visited this small restaurant too, but the kitchen cannot be called small at all. The first time around I went for a quick business lunch and got real quality for a very democratic price. Last weekend I went back with my wife, and she too was pleasantly surprised. This restaurant may not be very well known but it is definitely worth visiting, both for its cuisine and for the surroundings.

De eerste keer kwam ik er voor een snelle zakenlunch en kreeg voor een zeer democratische prijs echte kwaliteit voorgeschoteld. Dit weekend ben ik teruggegaan met mijn vrouw, en ook zij was aangenaam verrast.
