Fabulous ribs, tangy sauce
C&F has been here, hidden up in Purcell Estate hillside, serving locals and knowledegeable travelers, for years. West Indian, seafood, and delicious ribs, homey ambience. Our plateful of spare ribs were tender and falling off the bone (but not overcooked) with a just-right spicy and tangy sauce, a large baked potato with a delicious crisp skin... Fantastic in every way, a West Indian fantasy
Clarence was a much-lauded bbq cook and Florena had a grocery when they started their little restaurant serving huge portions (order half of what you think you are going to eat) of fantastic West Indian food. The decor is a bit unusual, all red and white and covered in plastic with lots of artificial flowers for decoration, this isn't your usual upscale restaurant, but the food is!    [11 Jun 2006 23:35:45]
