Very disappointing!
We stopped at Skyworld during our recent trip to Tortola. It was my 40th birthday. There was an amazing view from the top of the restaurant. However, the owner, a Scottish man, was very rude to my children. I didn't want to stay and wished I hadn't because none of us particularly enjoyed our meals and the bill was outrageous, $250.00 for 4 dinners and 1 plate of pasta for my son, only 1 dessert, but 2 appetizers. The owner snapped at my son, really badly and he was only looking at things in his gift shop, he didn't even touch them. He told him to get out of there! Also, my little one was playing with a wooden spoon and fork, and he told us we better watch out they were expensive and may break! Wooden spoons, for goodness sakes!! They were all of $12!

Can be very good!

Epitome of hospitality; food lives up to reputation
We were drawn to Skyworld by its reputation for excellent food; we did not expect the bonus of a stunning view and the finest hospitality we found on the island. Exceptional service from the moment you make a reservation. The owner/host suggested a reservation time to coincide with sunset, created a superb special request (for a picky vegetarian) and took the time to point out neighboring islands from the starlit rooftop. Inventive island spins on classic dishes; rustic, authentic setting. Truly a class act. Great place with a great view
We really enjoyed the evening at Skyworld. Food was great and Alan the proprietor told us such funny stories that we're still laughing a week later.
Not cheap, but this place is to be recommended for sure.

Returning to SkyWorld Tortola for the 20th Time
I was just looking back at my past visits to Tortola, 20th time! I can hardly believe it.
I happened to stumble across Skyworld while taking some of my yacht Guests for a hike at Sage Moutain, we stopped into the curious restaurant perched on a mountain top, enjoyed a couple of coctails before our hike. Scottish Alan was there and made us all laugh at his island experience.... We just had to come back for dinner at sunset... Well what a plesent evening we all had. The knowledge Alan had for wines and the food was outstanding... Hence to say this is going to be my and my boat's 20th visit to Skyworld!!!
