Worth the trip. Staff is always most accommodating, and the food is very good. [16 Mar 2004 16:55:07]

Best Lobster in the BVI's I've never missed the opportunity to visit Pam, Jim and Bob of Donovan's Reef while mooring in Trellis Bay. Great people....excellent food.

Best Dining in BVI We were sailing for a week in the BVI. While docked in Marina Cay, spent the most wonderful evening at Donovan's Reef for dinner. Their launch whisked us to dinner and returned us with grace after our meal. The food was the absolute best that we encountered and Bob was the most gracious host. Note that when ordering the lobster, you only get half a lobster. This was a bit shocking given the price. We have seen the lobster served in other restaurants as a whole lobster. I mention the service as mediocre. It was on par with Bitter End but Americans expecting top-notch service will not find it in the BVI. Service is not that great. Donovan's however did point out that the gratuity was included in the final bill, unlike Bitter End. Although we tipped well above the 10%, class reigned in pointing the added tip on the bill. The dining room was stunning. The artwork magnificent. The bug spray most welcome. [27 Apr 2004 13:52:43]

The Place to Eat in the BVIs Jim and Bob McManus have put together the winning match of ambiance, service and quality to make up the perfect dining experience in the BVIs. Located right near Marina Cay is a gem of a restaurant not to be missed. [06 Feb 2006 23:23:25]
