Great
Sue is the best. It seems as if she makes all the foods herself. She helped me find what I was looking for but didn't have the words. A very enjoyable meal.    [10 Sep 2003 23:31:52]

If you're looking for something different, the Grizzly House in Banff is a great choice. From the ridiculous selection of meats to the even more ridiculous souveniers, this restaurant promises a night you'll never forget!

Fondue is the dish of choice, but it's unlike anything you've ever had. Rattlesnake and shark are on the menu, as well as several other exotic meats. More standard grub is also there for those who aren't feeling quite so brave.

A complete meal also starts off with a tasty cheese fondue, and ends with a chocolate fondue, made with real Toblerone chocolate.

Has your husband been in the bathroom too long? Why not give him a call! The Grizzly House has a phone network connecting all the tables, and of course the bathrooms.

And don't forget to grab a souvenier before you leave. How about a t-shirt that says all the different meats you've sampled? Or maybe a giant buffalo head for your mantle? Only $3000.    [13 Jan 2004 02:00:04]

Gone downhill
The last time we visited the Grizzly House we were VERY disappointed. The steak was overcooked and the fondue portions were tiny - and ridiculously overpriced.

Couple that with the poor service (rude waiter) and we won't be visiting again.    [04 Jul 2005 11:26:21]

$$$$$o expen$$$$ive! If you're a repeat customer you... uh... are probably a millionaire.
If you order the exotic meats (rattlesnake, frog, etc.) the portions are of course tiny, & you get to cook them yourself on a superheated slab of rock at your table. It's neat, but you don't actually get to eat a lot.

& Yeah, those telephones are a real riot.    [19 Aug 2006 15:24:50]
