Empty Tables, Entrance Full
When my wife and I walked into the entrance of the ABC Country Restaurant it was packed with people that were waiting to get in. We put our name down with the less than cheerful hostess/owner. We all waited, some with small children (being the morning after Halloween, the kids were less than patient), and looked as there were about 11 tables empty of people however full of dishes.

Finally, someone cleared a couple of the tables and sat a few of the groups waiting. This is now about ten minutes after my wife and I walked in. After a couple of the groups were seated, some customers came up to pay, and those that needed to be seated were ignored. After the customers had paid it was another couple of minutes to clear some more tables and set the rest of us waiting.

After being seated, it took about 4 or 5 minutes to get coffee. That was not looked after at all throughout the restaurant as the owner was constantly asking the servers to get coffee out to people that were complaining. I could continue with this complaint except I have more important things to do.

In short, the service was terrible and the food was alright. The owner needs to be a little more pleasant to both her staff and her customers. She does not seem to be able to handle complaints and her unpleasantness passes along to her employees and make the entire experience unpleasant.

Food is awesome
The owner greeted us at the door with a huge smile and a friendly wave. As always we where treated like family and enjoyed a homestyle (better than mom) meal with large portions and great quality food. Service was good considering that the restaurant was very busy.    [17 Jan 2007 23:26:09]

Great Food!
We had lunch and were delighted with the food. It was delicious and the service was excellent! The restaurant has a homelike atmosphere and great food. We are visiting from the states and trying different places while in Calgary. We are so glad we chose to stop here!    [19 Jan 2007 22:06:42]
