Don't Bother I first tried this restaurant about 10 years ago - it wasn't good, however, having lived in Singapore for 8 years, I decided to give them another chance after so long a period, I thought they would have improved.
We had the buffet, as the menu is very uninspiring and doesn't feature any of the dishes Singapore is famous for.
Ever been to one of those buffets where all the food tastes the same - what there is of it? That's Singapore Sam's.
From the plastic cups for beverages to the meagre jello (in two flavors!) offered for dessert - it's just not worth it. [02 Apr 2004 12:06:37]

Terrific Dim Sum This place is famous for the Dim Sum, only available in the mornings. On weekdays, you check off a list - with varied items ranging from the staple BBQ buns to some more unusual ones. Definately not the thawed out frozen dim sum like you might see in other restaurants.
They have recently updated their decor and increased the seating capacity - brightened up the whole place.
Best time to go is on a weekend morning for dim sum, when they come around with those little carts - and have many items not usually available during the week.
Do not go for the buffet - it's "what the white people eat", and doesn't have any of the originality or flavour of the dim sum. [13 Aug 2005 21:28:12]

Improved. We, like Maureen from Calgary (first comment) thought that the buffet food tasted the same. But now, with the new decor and evening menu, we enjoy it more. Top marks for the waiters, they are very attentive in serving, and clearing the tables. Our only pet peeve is that we must remember to ask for our whole meal to come at the same time, not in dribs and drabs. [04 Jan 2007 23:36:25]
