Great Restaurant
This is a really good place to sit down and eat at or to enjoy a beer with friends. The ambiance is great, and a lot of time was spent on the decor. The food that we tried was prepared excellently and the serving help was prompt and higly knowledgeable. This is a great restaurant.    [25 Jan 2006 16:47:29]

Needs A Wine List.
As a regular, and someone who goes with a girlfriend, they could use a better per-glass wine selection and lighter, 'girly' food. Otherwise, for Okotoks no-smoking dining, it is our new favorite.    [10 May 2006 19:42:59]

FANTASTIC!

Same Old
Nice atmosphere but it's like Ground Hog day at the George. It would be nice to go to a pub that doesn't spend millions on decor and spend ten dollars on thinking up a menu. The wait staff is well above par but the food is the same as every other place and the management needs serious improvements on handling "customer" concerns. Merely asked if something was listed on the menu for one of the dishes and was met with hostility and sarcasm by the owner's wife.    [22 Nov 2006 00:04:09]

The Best Place in Okotoks to Eat.
Without a doubt, not just because it is so welcomingly and refreshingly a non-smoking pub and the food is standard fare, ample and very tasty, constantly.
Anyway, if the pleasure of good food and decor doesn't call you back again, the lovely female staff in skirts sure will...they are ALL pleasant and pretty. Staff tell me that the owner is adamant about delivering quality service and I have never been dissappointed.    [15 Jan 2007 14:03:29]

Great Staff, Great Atmosphere!
Being a new resident to Okotoks recently (1 year),I was surprised to find a place that puts the money and effort for an atmosphere that you would find in Calgary. The menu is casual, tasty, and mostly in-house made which is a nice change from all deep fried in most bars & pubs.(but you can still get if you fancy it). Great variety but needs more interesting salads. I love the selection for the new wine menu which is better quality for the money (I'm so tired of Wolf Blass). Service is almost usually great except once in a while it's less than stellar but that is to be expected in the current economy. (I've been to way worse everywhere else). My wife and I love the fact that the owners make an effort to be present most of the time and are very social and accommodating , particularly the wife who has a great sense of humour (and may I add quite attractive). Most of the servers are cute and the bartenders ( mainly J.T.) are fun and inviting which make it a true community pub. We plan to frequent the establishment regularly.    [01 Jan 2008 21:33:38]

Changes for the Better
The George went downhill for service and food in the summer of 08. So much so that we had to help our servers figure out how to charge us for our food and when we did get our food, it was sent back half the time for quality problems. But recently the George has had an overhaul. The food is excellent, the servers awesome and the atmosphere inviting. A definite must for pub dining.    [27 Oct 2008 20:13:16]
