Wow, What An Awesome Restaurant
Pizzaberg is top notch in my books. Both pizza and pasta is amazing there. There are many specialty pizzas that you will not find at any other restaurant. The staff is very friendly and the dining room is very cozy. I will definitely be eating at this family owned restaurant again soon.    [14 Jul 2005 01:41:52]

Great Pizza
I just moved to Okotoks, last night I had the pleasure of ordering pizza. Awesome! Coming from the big city. I was thrilled to discover this little piece of heaven so close to my new home.    [15 Nov 2005 16:55:23]

Hidden Gem in Okotoks
First things first - the name doesn't do the restaurant justice. This restaurant is truly one of the unsung culinary delights of Okotoks.

Appetizers - Three immediate winners come to mind here; the caesar salad (their homemade dressing is amazing), spicy ribs (REALLY amazing) and foccacia bruschetta (again - their homemade bruschetta is incredible). A word to the wise though; if you think you can finish an appetizer and a full size pasta, you're nuts - I don't care how big a guy you are, it ain't gonna happen!

Pasta - The portions are exceedingly generous, bordering on obscenely large. If you've ever been disappointed with sparsely portioned sauce at other restaraunts, you won't be dissapointed here! The brave among you will be delighted with the taste of the Cranberry chicken tortelli, while the staid will be thoroughly enraptured with more tame dishes like the alfredo drenched lasagna or the chicken tortellini (I recommend the pink sauce)

Pizza - True gourmet pizza. This isn't the cardboard dough and scanty toppings of the fast food pizza chains (Dominos, Panago etc.). Like the pasta, the pizzas are very generous with the toppings, though with the amount of cheese they put on, you won't be able to tell! All the ingredients are top notch - definite value for the money. Don't order it in the restaraunt; pick it up or take it on delivery (2 for 1 pricing outside of the restaurant).

Service - Generally, excellent. The wait times for food are slightly longer than you might be used to in other restaurants, especially if the restaurant is packed. That's okay though, because it's a wonderful place to sit and talk with friends.

Ambiance - Very cozy. I think there are only 7 or 8 tables. The decor is visually interesting, and the chairs are very comfortable. I've never seen the kind of intimate atmosphere that this restaurant has in any other place. If you're lucky, you'll enjoy some repartee from the other tables - the place really feels that comfortable.

Price - Wow. Years ago they were fairly expensive relative to their "competitors". For some reason, they haven't been keeping pace with inflation - especially in the pasta department. If you're on a shoestring budget, you can probably come away with a meal for two under $20.00 without much trouble (and be full!).

On the whole - Excellent. Like the other reviewer suggested, come early if you want to be seated right away. They don't take reservations though, so get there poste haste. Weekdays tend to be slower than the weekends and are an acceptable alternative to arriving early.    [11 Mar 2006 19:40:02]
