this restaurant is consistent in quality of food and service. Waiting for a seat can be up to a half hour some evenings but is mostly worth it. [28 Nov 2003 19:32:50]

Great! The service is wonderful, food is great and overall it is a nice place to go. We conduct meetings there, and it has always been a worthwhile experience. No complaints. [14 Mar 2005 14:50:47]

The food is consistently good but not outstanding. Very pleasant atmosphere but an extremely long waiting time (more than 1/2 hour) every time we go. [11 Jan 2008 22:37:56]

Don't go at Dinner Don't get me wrong, my family has been going here for years, ie: Mother's Day or just for breakfast. I took my 4 year old daughter out for dinner. I had received my drink just after ordering it, however my daughter didn't get hers till just before the food came after I reminded the server at least twice.
I think I saw the server 3 times, once to order, once to see how our food was and once to complain that I had asked for the $1.99 rice pudding for desert instead of the $4 or $5 piece of pie that came with it. She didn't even take my desert order.
The last time I went was with my Mother. We called as we were on our way to get our name on the list. When I arrived, I gave her my name and saw there were about 5 parties ahead of us. She had given me one of the "UFO" things that will light up and shake when it is your turn. After we saw everyone we were speaking to got seated (45 minutes later) I went up to the counter and told her we were still waiting. She then looked and said "oh, you're here" She had tried to tell me that they didn't know we had come. I then showed her that beside my name was the #6 to indicate the number of the "UFO" thing I had. She then activated it and said "oh, it does work" I was so angry, WHY DID THEY NOT CALL OUT FOR US? Why rely on these things? IT DOESN'T WORK! We have not been there since and don't plan on going back. It's too bad too, we had many good times there and now we have been going to some other wonderful places here in Abbotsford where they treat their customers well. [19 Feb 2008 05:48:29]

Sunday buffet The restaurant in Abbottsford we visited today (2008 7 20)was experiencing a half-hour wait time which is probably not unusual for Sunday lunch. Gave us time to visit with our co-patrons. I had heard they served Mennonite food. The farmers' sausage was OK. However, the objects that looked like verenike turned out to be cheese and potato-filled perogies, no cottage cheese. They were OK, a little dry as far as the gravy/cream and shortage of sour cream was concerned. The dessert that looked temptingly like maybe at least a whipped cheesecake had marshmallows in it, that weren't even all blended in...all-in-all, not the results that will attract me back anytime soon for the buffet. The waitresses were all very efficient and cheerful. [20 Jul 2008 23:45:32]
