good service in the restaurant/don't go to the pub
Waitress was wonderful, food not as good as could be, kind of tacky retro decor. The pub next door had the atmosphere less than desireable quality. Felt as though you were unwanted company. Sat at the bar and was asked to shhhh so the owner could watch the t.v. unfriendly attitiude towards patrons not recommended not to mention we were the only patrons in the establishment, makes you wonder why?    [01 Jul 2003 03:34:21]

Nice retro decor
The Reuben was laden with grease throughout the bread. The Deluxe Burger was pleasant but nothing to rave about. The service was slow and kept to the simple basics. The decor is a wild red and fuschia Chinese-Canadian diner style. This was worth the stop through the Fraser Canyon. It was a bit of slice of life in Boston Bar/North Bend. There were a small group of railway locomotive engineers perched at counter discussing their day ridin' the rails to Vancouver.    [30 May 2004 14:06:37]

Back to the '70s
I just love the decor in the Charles Hotel, while some found it tacky, I was pleased to see that the owner preserved the original look to the place, the food was excellent and the service was fabulous!! I enjoyed my stay thoroughly and recommend it with 5 stars!! It was nice to see a restaurant with such great service in Boston Bar!!    [24 Nov 2006 12:50:46]

Incredible
Absolutely the best Chinese food I have ever tasted in my entire life!! It was phenomenal, the servers were pleasant and tended to our every need. I can't believe we didn't stop here earlier but you can believe we will be coming back!    [24 Nov 2006 12:55:39]

Saturday Nite Fever
Well let me just say that once again I was not disappointed by this little town's best restaurant. We went for food in the cutest little pink restaurant and then over to the pub for drinks and dancing, and I must admit, I had a total blast!! I'm not one for kicking off my shoes but let's just say I had the time of my life! We made it there on Friday which is live dj nite. It was exceptional and the service was fantastic. Once again I review this suprising little wonder with great recommendation!
