A place worth visiting
I have read the other reviews, and I am astonished. This Pub/Restaurant is one of the best I have ever eaten in. I have eaten there 4 or 5 times and have not been disappointed at any of those times. The price is reasonable, the service is excelent. The Pub over looks the docks in Comox and the interior has a nautical flavor without being over done. [13 Jun 2004 17:09:49]

Every time we are hosts to island visitors we take them for a drive up island and make a point of visiting the Black Fin. We have never been disappointed. The view is great, the service is always attentive and the food well prepared. [04 Feb 2005 00:12:54]

It took over 15 min before we were ask 'what would you like to order'. Not even asked if we wanted something to drink. During the meal, we were not ask if we wanted an other drink. Food was so-so. [30 Jul 2005 16:17:32]

disappointing
I've eaten there a number of times and find the food average, the service terrible and the prices a little high for what you get. It has a great setting but that seems to be the problem with a lot of restaurants that have a good location. Not one of my favourites [23 Jun 2007 08:02:24]
