Excellent atmosphere, food, beer, wine, staff, and artistic touch. Good for all occasions. Food is fresh, homemade, and well presented, looks like the owners work hard to maintain these qualities, well done. [24 Feb 2003 15:02:38]

Wow, that was an Awesome Experience! The Atlas Cafe I would recommend to family, friends, anybody who is looking for great food, with efficient service, and a relaxing atmosphere. The Middle Eastern roll was full of flavour and even though I was full by the time I finished my meal, I still craved more! Wonderful apps, the sushi delicious. The Cafe has no problem catering to a vegan lifestyle. Great job! Thanks for the wonderful food! Yum. [16 Dec 2003 15:58:02]

Keeps me Coming Back I have been to the Atlas every time I am in Courtenay, and am never disappointed. The servings are large and prices reasonable. The staff are very friendly and the owners have made every attempt to cater to all kinds of dining needs. Try the chicken and artichoke heart sandwich. It's my favourite! You may have difficulty getting a seat at peak times, as it's not a huge place. [22 Mar 2004 15:05:38]

The Best This restaurant is a real find. Atlas serves consistently delicious food, artfully presented, in generous portions and at good prices. The wait staff is always professional and very friendly. The owners show great care in all aspects of their restaurant. I never go to Courtenay without going to Atlas. [24 Jul 2004 00:06:37]

Lose Weight Before You Go to Courtenay! Definitely one of the best restaurants in the Valley. I'm in a large city now and I still haven't found anything that compares to the Atlas. Excellent food and staff. I even took pictures of the quesadilla to show folks here so they'll know they don't have to be flat! Simply the best. [29 Aug 2004 22:19:39]

Always Amazing Everytime I treat myself to an Atlas experince I know I am going to enjoy myself. The staff are always friendly and helpful, the food is consistently delicious and the price is more than resonable for what is presented. I love the Atlas and everything about it. [12 Dec 2004 02:07:54]

Good food but $$$ I agree with all the reviews that this is a good restaurant but in my opinion I find the prices high. This is a once a month visit for me. Everything I had was good. If you like salads this is the place. As I remember the coffee was rather pedestrian. [28 Jul 2005 07:24:59]

A pillar restaurant in the Valley! I am a regular at this restaurant and not once have I had a bad experience. Did you know all their food is made to order? If you are planning a trip to the valley, please be advised the Atlas shuts it's doors each January (or February?) for 3 weeks. [28 Jul 2006 22:47:08]
Food: Service: Ambiance: Overall: Recommended Dishes: samosis or garlic with Brie appetizers, Greek plate is awesome too and the dijon chicken foccacia (order a small!)
