Service Bad and Slooow
Wonderful food but need improvement on the slow, pathetic service. Took almost an hour between the time we ordered and the time the food finally arrived. Had to practically tackle a waitress for more coffee and never did get to order dessert. Even standing in line to pay the check took almost 10 minutes.    [19 Jun 2004 11:42:59]

Takeout
We just ordered a deluxe burger and a chicken burger, both with fries to go.

The burger was just okay, the grilled chicken was still pink in the middle so only a portion was eaten. The fries were soggy. We are very disappointed as [their] eat-in is very good. Not sure we would do take-out again.    [08 Oct 2004 15:42:51]

Addicted
Love the halibut and rock cod salad and the portions are huge. I go in once a week for this, because I get cravings for it. Service is great and the staff seems to really be enjoying themselves. It is a very busy spot though and sometimes I've had to wait for a table. But to me it's worth the wait.    [28 Oct 2004 14:00:22]

All This And More
Don't listen to those other reviews, I seriously think they might be going to the wrong place. If you like good service with awesome food and overly generous portions this is the place to go. Fantastic seafood selections, plus tonnes of other items; it's a wicked menu.

Word of advice: go hungry.    [03 Nov 2004 11:11:20]

This place is great
We've been going there and taking friends for over 2 years and have never been disappointed with the menu, the quality, the quantity or the service.

I agree, somebody's got the wrong place reviewed up above.    [21 Dec 2004 14:23:12]

Best of Breed
Service, food, quantity and price, 5*
Smallish and usually crowded, a local favourite that is second to none.

Cowichan Bay is worth visiting if only to have your dinner there.    [31 Dec 2004 21:57:57]

Mmmmm
The fish & chips here are the best.
Without a doubt. I have eaten there with someone who ordered a burger & he was not feeling too well afterwards, so my advice is to stick to the fish & chips - you cannot go wrong. Don't forget to ask for extra tartar sauce when ordering...    [25 Jan 2005 12:12:59]

The Best in the Bay
Staff always friendly, helpful, courteous, though because of restaurant popularity, sometimes rushed. Food excellent, large portions, done and presented right. Try their seafood dish of the month, always a winner, always a bargain. I have only had one complaint, gravy too thin, I spoke up and this was rectified in minutes.    [05 Feb 2005 21:02:54]

Cowichan Bay Resident Review
We have eaten here about 15 times. The huge portions of halibut and cod are well worth the money.    [19 Mar 2005 21:14:25]

Awesome Fish And Chips
I wouldn't listen to anyone that gives this place a bad review if they can't even give their name. I have always been impressed by the food and the service. Always huge portions for the money and fast service as well.
The staff are always willing to keep you satisfied.    [16 Sep 2005 13:10:18]
