Quiet, romantic setting. Nice soup and salad. Extremely disappointed with the chicken. Used a processed chicken which was very noticable especially for the price $18.00. Also, too much butter - our food was swimming in it. [25 Oct 2002 15:35:39]

Make another choice!! Our Valentine's Day dinner went from bad to abysmally worse in a matter of three short courses.
Once seated, sans wine list, we were approached to place a drink order. Hard to do with no list, and with approximately 20% of the wines that they supposedly carried actually available. Our Martini arrived with no olives, Caesars with no garnish etc. Upon noticing the conspicuous absence of hot buns that appeared on the tables near us, we figured that we were in for a less than pleasant evening. Cold seafood, dry chicken, wilted bagged salad, vegetables that had been held in the steam table for way to long, frozen desserts from Superstore and a lack of coffee, milk or cream made for a most unenjoyable meal. I think that the kicker came when I stepped away from the table for a minute, and came back to find Joseph the owner standing on my chair rummaging around on a bar shelf. Without so much as wiping the seat, my chair was replaced after about a 60 second period of me awkwardly standing in front of the rest of my party.
Due to the owner's lack of interest in ensuring that our evening went well, it fell upon our poor waitress to make excuses and deal with our disapointment. Despite her obvious disorganization, the fact that she genuinely seemed concerned, and harassed the owner into finally comping some of our bill, went a long way.
All in all, the worst dining out experience that I've ever had, and on Valentine's Day to boot! [15 Feb 2005 14:33:54]

amazing food My husband and I went there and got amazing service and food. We had an excellent ceasar salad and the seafood platter was to die for. (Curry scallops are amazing) The soup was more or less lack lustre. The platter is huge and is good the next day if you can't finish it. Joseph knew a lot about the local wine. [02 Sep 2006 13:14:18]

Was a fine choice for us... My wife and I enjoyed our anniversary dinner at The Finer Choice tonight (sept 04/06) everything was fantastic. The food was good, the service was great. The price was completely reasonable for the amount of food we received on our plates. What a wonderful place for a romantic dinner. The setting was nice... I love antiques. All in all, my wife and I have been there a half dozen times and each time it has been A+ [05 Sep 2006 00:58:30]
