So-So Sushi, Sub-Standard Service
The menu selection here is pretty good, and I've had decent sushi take-out from Nagano.

This time around, though, we must have hit an off night in the kitchen. The rice was soggy and didn't hold together, and the sushi flavours were less than exciting. The only convincing thing on the combo platter was the tuna and the unagi (eel).

The service on this evening was pretty poor. The waitress must have been on her first week -- she was getting over half of the items wrong, and constantly forgetting our requests. Even the guy who took over at the end was fumbling around, and he looked like he'd worked there for a while.

Bad Substitution
Our server was good, but we ordered a meatless party tray, because we are demi-vegetarians (we only eat fish), and they decided to make a substitution without telling us. They substituted chicken rolls for our salmon rolls. Needless to say we are not going there again!! Oh by the way when we told them about our situation, all they did was take 10% off the one item that we ordered! Give me a break, they served meat to vegetarians that thought they ordered fish and that's all they do. What a joke!    [14 Oct 2007 20:22:18]
