Get Ignored at the Black Sheep
I had an unfortunate time going to the Black Sheep recently. Me and my companion were completely ignored by not just one waitress but three of them, and the bartender. This is not the first time this has happened. The Pub was not busy at the time, nor were the waitresses busy.

Upon complaining, the waitress claims that she talked to us and we said we needed a minute. No one spoke a word to us. Nothing.    [13 Oct 2004 15:11:20]

Poor Service
We were in Black Sheep Sunday Mar 20/50 1:00-3:00pm.

The server forgot my wine order. When I wanted to pay my tab, I was told I had to wait while a lady in front of me was making out Keno cards. As a Keno player myself, I know I wait until the customers at the bar are served first.    [21 Mar 2005 00:03:50]

Voted No. 1 for good reason
As a regular of the Black Sheep Pub I can understand why they've been voted best pub the past six years.

Poor Service
I often frequent the pub and I will say although the food is good, the service is not. I find it frustrating to go and see a few waitress on and not getting any service, and when you do get service it doesn't come with a smile, there is no personality to the waitress's and I never get a thank you after paying the bill or leaving the tip! I think either the waitress don't like there job or they are overworked. I hope the new location will bring some new servers and a new attitude to the pub.    [14 Mar 2006 18:35:15]

Not A Bad Record
We love the Black Sheep Pub. I think it is a good reflexion of the pub that there have been only two complaints over the past few years!

Food Is Great, Service Is Not.
We are local customers that have been going to the Sheep for many years now. The food is just excellent and the location is prime. (Local neighbourhood) We suggest ordering take out, because the food is wonderful but the service is awful. About every 5th visit we will get served in a decent amount of time and by a reasonably friendly waitress. The other 4 out of 5 visits we sit there wondering why again we have given the dining room another chance. Really folks, the management has heard our complaints and our friends' complaints many times, but chooses not to change anything. The new restaurant is beautiful but the old problems remain. Great Location, Great Pub
First time visit to the new pub was good. Had to wait as the pub was busy (Wed night) but only took 10 minutes to seat - get your name on a list. Food was good, service tonight was great. We live in the area and like to go down on wing night, or steak night.

Didn't like all the tables in the pub being so big, thought it would be great to have 2 seater tables, as several tables that seat 6 only had 2 at them.

The lights from the cars going in and out of the beer and wine store interfere with the ambiance of the evening. Wonderful bar and fireplace...will go again.    [02 Mar 2007 19:58:44]

Best Pub in Town
We have to travel from Pitt Meadows to get to the Black Sheep and although there are many other pubs we can go to that are closer we always choose the Black Sheep! Yes the service isn't always with a "smile," but its worth it when the food comes. We love their daily specials: wing nights, shrimp, crab legs, etc.    [20 Mar 2007 15:36:18]
