Where's the Beet? Borscht should be red, not white. In my bowl there was not a beet in sight!
I like this pub but cannot recommend the borscht. [12 Jan 2004 22:41:13]

There is More Than One Kind of Borscht. I have been eating at this pub for years. It is almost always delicious. Just for the record, borscht is not always red. There are two different kinds that I know of. My family's is always finished with cream, making it light pink. [29 Dec 2004 17:52:25]

Just terrible Sunday afternoon, 12pm walked into this pub and sat down. The one female server didn't acknowledge us. We waited. Another guy walked in and sat at the bar and somehow got service before us. We had to go up to the bar ourselves to ask for menus.
An HOUR later - our food came out. In a timid voice as the server walked away with her back facing us "sorry it took so long". Oh, now she tells us. The potaoes were super dry and the taco salad which said had ground beef, came out with what we thought and tasted definitely like sausage all cut up in small pieces. It was not ground beef at all. So we asked her whilst we were eating our crap food, what took so long?.... "oh there's only one young kitchen guy on and the dishwasher is broken and there was a large table in front of you". Well for starters I don't think it's relevant to cooking our food if the dishwasher is not working. We still hadn't gotten our food and prior to asking what took so long we saw this one kitchen member out of the kitchen and get himself a coffee.... Yes there may have been a large table in front of us... but they had ALL finished eating and paid and we still hadn't gotten our food!!! Point of the story is that it's courteous, considerate and also common sense of a server to mention to a customer that their food may take a little longer. Would not go there again even if someone paid me to. [22 Aug 2005 01:34:11]
