Description
Located on the main street (Hwy 97) in the town centre. An older, plain building, decorated a little on the inside with colourful, if simple, Indian decor.
Service and the kitchen is by the owner's family. The menu has a wide selection of authentic dishes, which are offered from mild to very hot. Indian sweets are available for dessert.
There is an Indian specialty food store next door, catering to the strong Sikh community in this area.
Also known as the Three Roses Best of India Restaurant.

Great Food in a Tiny Town We have driven more than an hour and a half from Okanogan, WA twice already just to enjoy this authentic, delicious Indian food. They have even opened an Indian grocery store next door! The food is cooked fresh for you and the portions are large. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who enjoys true, Indian food. I did, however, think the Naan was a little sweet, but that's my personal preference. [22 Feb 2004 16:21:23]

Consistently Good Indian Cooking Forget the ambiance here, the food is the star.
Time after time, across the menu, I've had wonderfully tasty dishes at The Best of India.
The last time was for lunch, with a (Sikh) business colleague. I had the Lamb Vegi, which was a bowlful of savoury and spicy goodness, at exactly the heat level I wanted (medium hot). Naan to go along with this, and a glass of Lassi (drink made from house-made yogurt).
The service can be quite slow, or very attentive. It depends on the person looking after the front of house.
Total bill for the two of us was under $25. Very good value in my books. [21 Sep 2004 15:30:13]

Worth the Trip. We just stopped in at Best of India on the weekend for the first time and were very pleasantly surprised. Warm, friendly service from the owner of the restaurant, comfortable, bright decor and fantastic food. Maybe a touch expensive for the portion sizes, but we'll definitely be going back. Best so far! I have eaten at many east Indian restaurants around Canada, and so far nothing comes close to Best of India, I'm originally from Manitoba, my friend brought me there on my trip to BC one summer. Now I crave it all the time when I'm away, and want to go there when I'm back visiting in BC every time. Its an open restaurant which is building and fixing up to be bigger from the last time I was there. All in all I really would love to have the recipe or that restaurant way in Manitoba.
