Disappointing
A very nice looking old fashioned pub inside and out, but...
Ordered steak and kidney pie dinner, thinking I would get home baked, but it was just one of those frozen pies you buy in a box at Super Value for around 60 cents and microwaved to warm.

Guess they just count on us tourists for business.    [28 May 2004 23:25:59]

Wing Night at the Welcome Inn
This happens about once a week usually on Wednesdays. The price is less than you can do them for at home. Sooooo many flavours, they mean it when they say suicide hot. Sometimes it's so busy they actually run out of wings. Brenda in the kitchen is not just a chef; she is brilliant and will prepare anything exactly how you like it. Ask Dutchie (Rob) about his secret "War Fries."    [12 Jul 2004 20:27:32]

What Have They Gone and Done Now?
I can say they went really downhill when the new owners from Holland took over. Now they have sold it to someone else and it has gone further downhill. If the place had a decent chef who knew what they were doing in comtemporary English cuisine to go with the ambiance of the place, instead of something premade, it would be worth the time and money to eat there.    [08 Mar 2006 15:34:54]

What is gooing on over there?
The last four years we were visiting this place several times. Josie did always a great job. She was a really
nice girl, always friendly to us.
It is a pitty that she sold the place last year.
The new owner has a totally different style. The food is not that great anymore, the price is to high and the service is bad.
I will never go back to this place anymore.    [03 Apr 2006 03:21:19]

The not Welcome Inn Pub
The new owner off this place is not understanding how to run a bar.

The music is to loudly the food is bad and the owner is not friendly.

The building does not look the same anymore. It is a pitty that Josie is no more running this place.    [14 Dec 2006 10:28:45]
