Changes
First time for us here, under the new ownership. Some things are the same (waitress, most of the menu, beer selection), which is good. And some things are different, like the layout (no problem), and the kitchen (a problem).

Even though the waitress does her usual best to take a coherent order to the kitchen, almost everything gets screwed up. Salads, fries, dressings, as well as other choices. On top of that, the food takes forever to get to the table.

This is not a good sign. And maybe a reason why there's hardly anyone here.

On the plus side, the food is pretty tasty when it does make it to the table.    [02 Aug 2004 03:53:20]

Great Specials, Very Welcoming
As a first timer in Peachland, I found the pub to be full of friendly people, great food at a great price and very reasonable lunch and dinner specials. I also enjoy sitting out at the large wood fireplace, sipping on a glass of wine talking to the friendly staff. Not so good!
I brought my out of town guest to Big E's and we ordered the 1 pound of mussels. We were very surprised when 14 small mussels came to our table, (weighing less than 1/2 pound at best). When we asked where the pound of mussels were, we were told that they were counted out. Not the best way to start our dinner. I think the menu should either be changed or when a pound of mussels are ordered, a person actually gets a pound. Also, the waitress wasn't sure what the specials were. My guest was not impressed and I won't be bringing any other guests to dine at this restaurant    [14 Jun 2006 23:20:02]
