Penticton's Best-Kept Secret
It's not a secret that it exists. Most people are certainly aware of that. But nobody thinks to go there save for the hotel guests and a loyal selection of customers. People would much rather go to the Denny's across the street for inferior food and service.

The Bear's Den is a lovely diner with attentive servers. The menu is very predictable, full of homestyle breakfast and lunch options (including a very good borscht, which is one of their specialties). The prices are reasonable. The Bear's Den is perfect for what it is: a comfortable, low-key restaurant for the times you just don't feel like making breakfast or lunch but don't feel like dressing up for a "dining experience."
