great food, not so great service
I ate lunch Apr 30/04 at Denny's in Penticton. The food was delicious. It was prepared fast and accurately. Great sized portions too. My compliments to the chef. The server was okay and polite but management was a different story. Overall, the food was excellent, reasonably priced, but needs improvement on management's end.    [30 Apr 2004 18:31:15]

I've been a regular for about 3 years now. But I felt that I have to comment on how much the presentation of the food has changed. The food has always been okay and plated how you would normally plate food. But you could tell no care was behind it.    [16 May 2004 04:09:59]

Charged for Greens.
Came into you Dennys on sat Nov 13th/04. My lady friend
Orded a T-bone stake with veggies. Well the server said no Veggies.

My lady friend asked if she could have any veggies at all, the server said that all they had were mushrooms. Ordered well done steak. Was given one that just came of the back of a cow, raw. Waiter took the meat away, brought a plate of fries, we waited another 1/2 hr before the meat was brought back, with six mushrooms. It was past midnight, I did not make a fuss as I would have gone bloody mad, had that happend at any other time. Asked for the bill, was charged for the mushrooms!

This was the first time since have had a real bad experience with Dennys.    [16 Nov 2004 16:38:55]

Crappy Dinner!
Where you want to go for Fathers Day Dinner. "Dennys" Where else, thats 40 miles away from Osoyoos. Dennys is my #1 place to eat at for many years, Good food Good service. Wrong today. Steak and shrimp: Steak was way over cooked. Waited 20 min for waitress. Wanted coleslaw they didn't have any so I said I'll have two orders of mashed potatoes with gravy. They gave me about one order of mashed potatoes and gravy. Shrimp was over cooked. When waitress asked how my Dinner was? I told her that I ordered a medium steak and mine was over cooked, her reply was, Yes it is. "Sorry about that". No offer to take back. Not a "Happy Day". The waitress took off the price for the milk and coke at the time when paying the bill. Did not make steak any better.    [20 Jun 2006 01:11:48]

Poor managment - they called the cops on us.
My husband and I and our two kids are from out of town and decided to go to Denny's for dinner. I ordered A BLT, they brought me a clubhouse instead. My daughter ordered a mushroom swiss burger, and they forgot the mushrooms. The manager came over and asked my husband if everything was okay my husband told the manager what had occured. The manager brought me back a BLT but the bread was burnt as the manager was still standing there he said to me, "What do you want me to do about it?" I said I would like the bread to be lightly toasted. By the time I received my new sandwich we had all lost our appetite and I had asked the manager for an apology for his actions his reply in front of a crowded resturant were that I was being way out of line and that I was being rude. My husband got a little upset with the manager for saying that I was rude. Manager calls the police (R.C.M.P.) to have my husband removed from the resturant. When the officer arrived he came into the resturant and walked directly over to our table with the manager standing by and said to my husband "Could you please leave?". My husband replied "Can my kids finish eating?" The manager said he did not care. My husband left and the three of us sat there feeling very embarrassed and appalled.
