Golphis Steak and Lobster

Disgusting
I brought my family to this restaurant for my father's 65 birthday and I have to say that it was disappointing.

From the exterior it is small but the interior has a quaint, small town, family run establishment feel to it. . . cute . .the waitress with the furry blue pen also . . cute.

The 25 min wait for the out-of-the-freezer escargot that resembled grease pit debris and bland tasting to top it off, not so cute. . . hmmft! shake it off . .give it a chance.

After app's the escargot plates remained on the table for the 15 min wait for the $18.95 tv dinners that we were all served next. The limp and browning, dished out yesterday afternoon & poorly covered salads(dressings still had the take-out lids on them)arrived next. I reserved my appetite on this one . . next up . . The Salmon and Halibut steak dinners looked as though they had been nuked then thrown into the pizza oven(the only visible oven) for way to long resulting in a shriveled, dry, cannot quite manage to swallow it in one go, dish. argh! The Veggies (see salad) . . though the econo - baked potato was not half bad - fake bacon bits, dryed chives, sour cream (all take-out style with lids on) and butter. The Souvlaki looked ok . . outside of the mountain of clumpy, gooey looking rice it was served on top of. I did not sample this entree.

After not eating 30-40% of our dishes and looking very unhappy (The server looked concerned but did not inquire to the reason.) we get our bill, tipped the usual 15% and settled our $80.00 dinner.

I will not return . . ever . . and I am taking my father out for his birthday again next week to make up for it.    [14 Sep 2006 13:46:23]
