Good Value Big portions for your money. The veal cutlets are enough for two (or make sure you're hungry!) I have always had good service and everyone is friendly. The Sunday breakfast smorgs are pretty good too! [16 Aug 2005 04:23:17]

carmel I found the servers not very friendly, and took a long time to get my meal even when it was slow!! And also found hair in my food. I personally wouldnt go back there. [02 Sep 2005 18:29:43]

Home cooking at its best Ive never had a bad experience at Carmel's. The food is always plenty, the value always good, and the taste is always perfect. Service is 90% great with friendly staff, and promptness. My coffee has never been empty. This is a truck-stop type restaurant, in my opinion.. but truck-stops always have the best food for your buck. [20 Oct 2005 15:03:45]

Best Brunch in Prince George We have gone to the Carmel on numerous occasions for brunch. and EVERY single time it has been WONDERFUL. Now I am a fine dining kind of gal, and not into truck stop style of food, but let me tell you, the service has always been friendly and fast. The buffet is always being filled with FRESH food, and if there is a spill or dopped food it is picked up asap, with is not only prideful, but food safe too. Being in the food service industry, I want an establishment to appreciate the fact that we chose them that day to eat/dine at, and with the Carmel, they do just that. We have never left dissapointed - KUDOS to all of you there, a new paint job and carpets would be nice, but eh I'll take the great food and service over atomosphere any day. A true GEM!
