When my husband and I went there,(he does not usually go to bars at all..just restaraunts) we ordered a beer to go with the lunch we were looking forward to. I ordered "Beef Dip", my husband ordered a CH Burger... both of which were to arrive at our table with those "ever lovin'" french fries that everyone seems to be so fond of.
After waiting for like what seemed forever we ordered another beer. When finally receiving our long awaited lunch we thanked the waitress and proceeded to look down & scan our plates.
We were in shock to notice that we literally would have had to ring the grease out of these poor french fries, if we thought we would have been able to stomach them.
However, neither my husband or I were that "daring" so we chose to leave those poor fries drowning on the plate...so that they could suffer in silence. The "Beef Dip" alone was good!
The waitress was very friendly! [14 Mar 2005 11:56:12]

Love the atmosphere I don't frequent the pub scene very often, but I prefer the CHP over any other pub when I do. The layout of the CHP is very cozy. The main level where the bar and the pool tables are is a little more noisy and boisterous, but you can escape a few steps down to the sunken level where there are comfortable tables to relax at with your friends. During the summer you can also relax on the open patio, away from all the noise, and just soak up the nature that surrounds the pub. The squirrels are regular visitors.
The food is typical pub fare. It's well-priced, savoury, a little greasy, comes in massive portions, and probably doesn't do much for lowering your cholesterol or high blood pressure but, hey, that's pub food. The servers are friendly, but could be more attentive at times.
This is a nice place to spend the evening with good company and I like the fact that its location is safe and off of the main drag. Highly recommend it. [11 Sep 2005 11:03:45]

Think again!!! I would think twice about entering College Heights Pub. Our meals came with choice of salad or fries, we chose salad and were charged for salad dressing. I've never been anywhere that charged for dressing. Not to mention the service is always VERY slow and the wait staff is not very friendly.
We thought we'd give them another chance and called in a take out order, only to be told they were too busy. I guess because we were not in the pub where we could order drinks they were not interested in our business. [06 Nov 2005 20:27:49]

take a book My wife and i went to the pub last week at about 7:00 and waited for a long time for the server, waited longer for the drinks after ordering. Place wasn't very busy, but appeared the servers were more interested in talk than work. Finished drinks and left without ordering food. [27 Dec 2005 00:06:23]

A Wonderful Welcome to Prince George Moving from Ontario my fiance and I came across The College Heights Pub...since we've been here we frequent the bar at least 3 time a week.
The waitresses are awesome...very attentive to our needs. The portions are HUGE and the food selection is excellent.
No place in town has a patio stting like CHP. Bring your friends....and plan on being there for thet half price aps between 3-5pm. Can't beat the affordability and the great taste!
Thanks CHP...you've welcomed us to PG very nicely!!! [08 Jul 2006 18:31:11]
