Downtown Granville's
The coffee is good. The bread is made in store and okay if you like spongy bread machine bread. The chili is a good deal. Most of the sandwiches are good.

The borscht bears little resemblance to real Doukhobor borscht (although it claims to be authentic).

All in all, pretty good. Very reasonable prices.

Dreadful traffic pattern as you line up to order and pay, then have to fight your way back through the crowd to get to your seat. Not fun with your hands full of hot coffee.

There is no wonder that you have a hard time getting a seat here...the food is fantastic and a great deal. The atmosphere tends to be loud and hectic but it's excellent people watching.    [06 Mar 2007 01:49:16]
