Bad got worse and worse
The service was absolutely terrible. I ordered the special which was filet (5oz) and lobster tail. I never got the garlic butter to dip my lobster in but the table next to us did. There were 5 tables that were seated after us and they got served before us. The other two people I was with ordered all you can eat ribs and were virtually ignored. When they did come they took away their normal plates and gave the next rack of ribs on a tea saucer. Brutal!!!! We were not offered water, tea, coffee or dessert.    [15 Feb 2004 13:57:10]

Terrible Food
I would like to comment on the disgusting food that we ate at this restaurant. My family was over visiting from the UK this past weekend. We read the menu on the front door of this restaurant, it didn't look too bad. What we got was absolutely terrible. The steak was deplorable and the fries that went with it were burnt and black. The girls were more intent on playing in the back than service. I would not recommend this establishment to anyone. It was a rip off.    [22 Sep 2005 20:47:16]

Great time Great Food
Took my family here and we had a great time. Our kids loved the crayons and coloring jack. We got the bbq ribs (fall off the bone) and my steak was so tender. It was very busy and they still had time to smile and make us feel welcome. We were on holidays so there was no reason to rush. It is a very cool rustic setting, with a very cool paint job. Worst Food ever
When you pay $20 for ribs and they talk about how Jack likes to give great meals at a decent price. For that much money you would expect baby back ribs not side ribs so full of fat that there is no meat. Beans that must have recooked for days and a stuffed potato that was mashed almost instant like the only thing that was edible was the garlic toast. Totally ripped off!!    [07 Apr 2006 15:53:49]

Amazing service
Food was good, service was amazing. They were very busy and yet still looked after us. The one server said they were very short staffed, however our meal came quite quickly for only 2 cooks and 2 servers. Strongly recommend it.    [01 Jun 2007 16:36:57]

Great food and great service
Business brought me to radium for 9 months out of this past year. In the last year, I've eaten at every single restaurant down the main strip and never had service or food as good as at Back Country Jacks. The staff was very friendly and went above and beyond the call of duty for me several times. The food is absolutely awesome tasting, especially on a hot day sitting on their gorgeous little patio. Great Food

Good meal
I was in town June 18/2009 and saw this place on my way to the resort. I got there and ordered the 12oz steak and was very pleased with the meal from the service to the dessert (cheese cake). I really enjoyed the meal the service and the price.    [19 Jun 2009 21:42:11]
