Fruit Flies
We can't say anything about the food because we had to leave just after it arrived. Our waitress was prompt and friendly, however, fruit flies were buzzing around our faces. After moving tables it was no better, so I asked to speak to the manager.

I explained the problem to him and his response was that no one else has complained, maybe they are attracted to our beer? What do you want me to do about it? He seemed very rude; I told him I had had enough and paid for the 2 pints of beer and left the waitress a tip as it was not her fault.

I rarely complain at restaurants, I guess I should have contacted their head office but didn't. They have lost 2 local regular customers over this incident.    [16 Jan 2003 11:22:39]
