Hospitality extraordinaire I am shocked not to see something written on this well known and beloved cafe. The Homestead recently changed ownership, and the new Management and staff have totally kicked things up a notch. The energy is alive, the customers are happy and chatting away, and the staff are always smiling. The menu is well rounded for a breakfast and lunch offering, the portions are oversize, and everything is freshhhhh. Soup is made daily, specials are posted, and the regular menu is never a disappointment. Honestly I have never had better breakfast omelettes, and the lumch menu always has enough variety so it always seems like something new.Im stuck on the chef salads right now, but the burgers are killer awesome, as are the sandwhich combinations. Without any doubt the Homestead is a diamond in the rough. The decor is like a farm style cafe hence the name Homestead. Rustic wood boothes and few big oversize farm style dining tables offer a welcome and casual atmosphere. The staff are always sharp and energized and happily buzzing around doing what they do best, making you feel at home. Love you guys. [27 Aug 2006 22:25:10]
