ADRIANA'S Cocina Mexicana is located in a restored turn-of-the-century residence in downtown Victoria, close to the Save on Foods Memorial Center. It is a hidden gem on what is currently a rather "rough" block. But you forget that once you've stepped inside.
The decor is warm and cozy. The welcoming atmosphere is not just a slogan. You will want to know everyone's name.
What keeps my husband and I coming back however is the food. We've been there three times now and it just keeps getting better. The menu features home-style dishes that are flavourful, innovative and authentic. No store-bought chips here. The food is extremely fresh, not over-spiced, not and over-reliant on the old fall backs, beans and cheese. They make excellent use of fresh fruits and vegetables, and are willing to adjust menu items to suit special diet needs.
Can't recommend it more highly. Oh, and don't miss the coffee! [04 Feb 2007 00:56:32]

Fantastic Mexican Food! Home made mexican food featuring daily specials. It is a small and cosy restaraunt in an old brick house. Don't forget to reserve as the restaraunt fills up quickly. Have a mojito-they are some of the best I've ever tasted. [23 Nov 2007 19:44:36]

Sparse Portions Good service. Odd to see a Mexican motif in a Victorian heritage home. The big problem with this place is when a plate is mostly salad, rice and re-fried beans and only 2 tiny enchiladas (at $18!!!) you leave feeling hungry and cheated. [01 Feb 2008 01:16:33]

Outstanding! Went here for a birthday dinner with a very large group. Our server was excellent...rolled with seat changes and an ever increasing amount of people. The sangria was delish, as was the food and the atmosphere. I will be back! [12 Feb 2008 01:33:35]
