The BEST place I've EVER eaten at!!!!
I was in the US Navy for 6 years. On my last deployment in 2004, I had the pleasure of visiting beautiful Victoria. After eating ship food, my friends and I were extremely excited to have something real for a change. We came across Barkley's Steak and Seafood House and fell in love! The atmosphere, the hospitality, and MMMM... the food! I have never eaten a steak so mouthwatering in my life! They also have awesome side items but the steak was so good I don't quite remember exactly what I got to go with it. I do however remember the tangy Bloody Mary, garnished with pickled okra. I'm a southern girl! Love the okra. I have spent the past year since I was (honorably)discharged from the Navy trying to save up money to go back to Victoria just to have a steak and a Bloody Mary.    [14 Feb 2008 17:02:45]
