Horrible
The ice cream was substandard and the food was absolutely disgusting. The place was filthy and no one cleaning the tables and floor. this place is poorly managed. Why are they even in business.
The staff are really friendly and the food is so-so but -- for a burger, fries, and a "large" drink (which is kiddie-size by real-world standards) it is about $9.00 .. Not to mention that even if the senior citizen in front of you orders 5 meals and you just want a tuna sandwich, you've gotta wait about 15 minutes. something victoria sorely needs more of...
It's expensive and the staff are grumps but it's a treat to have in tinkertoytown. You can get a great softserve cone and head down to the ocean. Their burgers are great, but TOO SMALL. What's all the fuss about?
Unless you're in the mood for a basic/average breakfast, this place is a complete waste of your time. MASSIVE prices and ITSY-BITSY portions. hmmmph. Milkshakes that are so disgusting, you'd swear that it was a "Milk-Mate and Ice cream" concoction. I'll NEVER go back. That seems to be what I hear from everyone else here too. How do you stay open. Best Soft Ice Cream in Victoria!!
Beacon drive in has the best soft ice cream ever and its the best in victoria(Dairy Queen is second, third Mcdonalds), the onion rings are very breaded but delicious. and maybe next time for the people who didnt like the milkshakes, dont have the milkshakes have the ice cream its what their famous for.    [22 May 2005 00:33:20]

Voted Best Ice Cream for 11 years
I am glad to see that the fish burger has been changed to a Halibut Burger. They are GREAT!!! I have noticed that they have added some new flavors to the sundaes. (blueberry is good)

Wonderful ~ where else can you enjoy a real great burger and some of the smoothest soft ice cream ~ GREAT and the lemon meringue pie is so fresh and wonderful. A trip to victoria would not be complete without a stop here, it's #1....

Good food for the price
The burger combos are a real bargain, taste good and an avergage size portion. They do not skimp out, but you don't get tons...just the right amount for the price. Yes, sometimes you can wait a bit for your food, but heck I've waited almost as long at Mcdonald's and to get unsatisfactory food. The place is VERY clean, staff not always overly friendly but they do their job and I have no complaints. Best place in town to get a soft ice-cream cone.    [27 Aug 2006 18:20:05]

Have you seen the amount of flavours that they are offering now? 9 different ones. They also offer 8 flavours of syrup that comes on the cones now. Raspberry is the one!
