manger must be a headless chicken.. Went in for chicken dinner and they had no "white meat" chicken. The substitute was barely coated. Imagine eating fried chicken that still looks as if not cooked. It was that pale. And bland. The second time, they said the truck delivering the chicken had broken down. "Sorry", they said and gave us chicken strips. Where is the flavor KFC used to have? This was liked eating cardboard. Its was SO bland. Are they skimming the coating? Does a competeant manger run this place, or headless chicken? The coleslaw is still good. out of control went to pick up my order beginning of july, had to wait an extra 30 minutes after being told it would be ready in 40 minutes on the phone. I finally asked the cashier what is going on, she told me "the manager took the night off" it was a mess in there three what looked like high school students trying to run the place, who didn't know what was going on, plus the drive-thru was out of order according to one customer. Westbank KFC sucks...they make you wait in line forever (over 25 minutes), then their debit/credit machines go down and you're just $3.00 short in cash (on a $30.00 purchase). After waiting over 25 minutes in their lineup, their debit/credit machines go down, yet they won't let me write a cheque, an IOU or whatever for the difference. In the past they've served me uncooked french fries. They've not given me a bottle of Pepsi that I'd paid for (that I never went back for because I didn't have the time.) I've waited inordinate amounts of time inside with their drive-thru closed for whatever reason, to find my order not correct.
I've lived here 10 years and have eaten there about once a month. I have a large family, so this amounts to quite a bit of revenue for them over time.
I've been disappointed and forgiving before, (because I like the chicken) but this took the cake!
Their customer service is HORRIFIC! This KFC gives the whole chain a horrible name. It's in need of some serious help from KFC headquarters! [18 Nov 2006 21:14:23]

Deplorable!! I frequent this restaurant on occasion via the drive through. I have noticed on several occasions the direct debit machine is not working. It has gotten to the point that when my husband and I decided to use the drive through the week of July 23rd, I told him I doubted the machine would be working. As usual, this was the case, and since we do not normally use cash, we had to scrounge around to find some change. We were able to order only a portion of the items we had intended to.
We frequented the restaurant again on Sunday July 29th. Much to our dismay, we drove up to the drive through only to find the drive through itself was closed. Disappointed, but still wanting to order, my husband went into the restaurant and ordered at the counter. The service was terrible. He waited approximately 15 minutes for a small order. Not to mention, the diet soda machine was empty.
When he returned to car, he told me the restaurant was dirty. I went inside to have a look. What I saw was deplorable! The windows were dirty, the floor was disgusting, the tables were full of food and garbage, the garbage bins were full, the bathroom was filthy and the toilet paper dispensers were empty. As well, there were brooms and cleaning paraphernalia piled in plain view in the corner near the counter (I can’t imagine why, it doesn’t seem they are being used for cleaning). After seeing the condition of the restaurant, and imagining what the cooking and preparation areas must look like, I could not eat my lunch. [02 Aug 2007 04:18:53]

KFC Westbank A Gong Show This Westbank KFC is the most disgusting and poorly run fast food restaurant I have ever seen. Staff is so incompetent they have a huge line up and then run out of chicken. Why not keep it going instead of waiting for everything to run out and then start over. So they just stood around and did nothing about the filthy dining area, except fill the ice machine with a bucket full of ice. One person was making the food, two were standing around watching and one on cash screwing everything up, while about 20 customers stood around in disbelief. Oh and the drive was closed again this has been going on for about 2 years on and off. Owner obviously doesn't care about their business. [03 Aug 2007 04:52:20]

The need more people and it's not good. No one knows what is going on at anytime. The place is a mess and no one cleans any thing at all. They never have a chicken made and they are so slow at doing things. [09 Aug 2007 03:17:13]

KFC Good Food, But Owners Needs To Wake UP Last night I decided we should have KFC. Now, I know that they are a very busy place and I knew it would take at least 1/2 hour to get my order, so, I ran around and picked up a few things. Once I returned I did have to wait another 35/40 minutes. I did not get upset because that would not have solved anything, especially for the staff. They worked as fast as they could and offered drinks to people waiting. I have to agree that the restaurant does need some cleaning and that needs huge attention right away. I also realize that an owner can never figure out how much chicken to cook, but this was a Friday night. I have to say, we enjoyed every bite, even at 9:00 pm and I do wonder if it would have been just as good the first night if it was sitting around for a while?? Probably not. I have had cold food from other fast food restaurants and it is very disappointing when you are expecting a hot meal. Yes the restaurant needs more staff and perhaps the owner of KFC Westbank can figure out a way where they could make enough chicken so people do not have to sit around, maybe more cooking space??? Maybe cook enough and if there are left overs they could be offered to the food bank? It's better to have a great place, well taken care of staff, and a very clean restaurant because that is a huge turn off when you walk into a restaurant and it's dirty. I realize chicken takes longer, but I also know this, and I am willing to wait a short waiting time but not an hour. I hope the owner appreciates his staff because they did an excellent job last night (August 15th - Friday Night - 2008), considering what they were up against. If the restaurant is not running up to par because of shortage of staff then KFC needs to offer more benefits and money. This restaurant would have more customers if they knew they did not have to wait more than 20 min. So maybe KFC needs to figure out what dishes are ordered more often then not and on what days.
Now if the owner ever see's this than I hope he is already working on improvements, but from reading other reviews it seems that this has been a problem for a while. KFC is only one business out of many that seem to have problems with getting orders out in a short time.
