A Quiet Night Not knowing what to expect from the new owners, we listened to the specials that the server recited and decided to partake in all that she suggested.
The shrimp appetizers were done in a tasty sauce and were very fresh. BBQ chicken wings also hit the spot, in maybe a bit less exciting a way.
Our Cajun style pork chops weren't nearly as flavourful as the vegetables that accompanied them. The whole dish was satisfying, but a little on the oily side.
The atmosphere seemed a little cold and bare; the music intruded and was played over a poor quality sound system.
I'd like to come back here in the summer when the place will be a lot more lively. [10 Jan 2002 03:07:38]

Disregard for customer service My family and I recently had dinner at M.T. Muggs in Westbank. It was our first time there and everyone had a good time until the bartender turned the music up so loud that we couldn't even hear each other speak.
We asked both our server and the bartender, three times, if they would please turn down the volume and they refused saying it wasn't too loud (although we were literally yelling at one another within a small booth area). Over about an hour period, we got so fed up with the noise and asking them to turn it down that we asked for our bill, paid and went to leave.
On the way out the door I stopped to let the bartender know how disappointed we were that our concerns regarding the music were completely ignored. He said "maybe you should go over the Whiskey Jack's Pub then". I asked him if that was his answer - sending customers elsewhere!? He just laughed and turned his back on me. I then told him it was completely rude and uncalled for and that it was a serious disappointment after spending the evening with our family. He just rolled his eyes and said that was how it was going to be!
I cannot believe that he would even speak to customers this way and treat people in general like this. It was completely rude and unnecessary.
I would strongly recommend (and so do the employees at this pub) going to a different place for dinner and drinks. [20 Dec 2006 00:17:25]
