Great Place to Eat This was the first place that I ate at when I arrived in Kelowna. Had some great shrimps. [14 Mar 2002 05:57:37]

Horrible experience This was the worst service we have ever received!!! We stopped in for lunch in the early afternoon and there were perhaps one or two other patrons there, and two servers. We sat down, and it was a good 5 minutes before our waitress took our drink orders even though the other tables did not require service (bear in mind that she would have had ONE other table as there were two waitstaff). That's OK, we thought, 5 minutes isn't terrible. Then another 10 minutes passed before we were able to order food. By this time, I had finished my drink, and asked for another one. She served her other table and then disappeared for 20 minutes. I managed to finally flag her down and remind her to refill my drink. By this time, my husband needed a refill as well. She disappeared into the back for another five to ten minutes and returned with our drinks. Our food (just simple sandwiches) was still nowhere to be seen, 30 minutes after ordering it in an EMPTY restaurant. When it finally came, it was not all that good. And although we had "bottomless" drinks, we were unable to wash our meal down because after unceremoniously plopping down our food, the waitress disappeared for another half-hour to do God knows what in the back. She acted surly when we flagged her down (only after more customers came in did she even emerge from the back!!!) and asked for our cheque. The food was only so-so, a few of the tables were dirty even though there was no one in the restaurant and two waitstaff plus a hostess on the floor, and the attitude of this particular server just floored me. I was a waitress at a casual-dining restaurant for a month in university, and due to being inexperienced and working a lot more tables than I was equipped to, I was a TERRIBLE waitress and wouldn't wish my slow service on anyone. But she was even worse than I was on my busiest night, and this happened during the slow period and not the evening rush. The staff's laziness and lack of regard for customers was just unconscionable. We like White Spot, but we will be eating in the Kelowna and Penticton locations from now on! [02 May 2005 01:38:30]

Great Experience Considering I am a teenager most people judge me without knowing me. They expect that I won't pay when I go into restraunts and I would never leave without paying for anything. However the Westbank Whitespot did anything but that. They were very friendly with my friend and I, and we received our meals and drinks right away, they were so good. They gave us the bill, although told us not to rush. And the thing is, the store was very busy, and everytime they go into the back, who knows what could be happening as Heather stated up there that they would go to the back for who knows how long, they probably just had a rush, and has 200-300 dishes, and if you don't call that busy, then what is? SLOW! ONLY go to the Westbank location if you are not immediately hungry and are willing to wait up to 45 min to get your meal. The manager doesn't care if the service is slow. We complained about the non-existant service and she said that some people had called in sick. Three problesm with this
1. The service has been the same on three occasions;
2. There were only three other tables with patrons;
3. Staffing is THEIR problem, not mine.
Hungry NOW? Cross the street to LaCucina. [18 Sep 2006 16:17:37]
