Disappointed
1. We were told we would wait 20 minutes and we waited over an hour. I understand when you are busy, but when tables sit empty for 20-40 minutes, that is unacceptable.
2. Wrong food brought to the table.
3. The right food brought was cold.
4. Charged for a refill and no refill was ordered nor served.
5. Charged for 4 margaritas and only 3 were served
6. Service was horrible
7. Bathroom stinks

Fabulous Restaurant
Everything about our experience at Luna Loca was great. We waited 20 minutes for a table on a Saturday night and it was well worth the wait. The food was delicious and reasonably priced for healthy portion sizes. The servers were all friendly and knowledgable. We missed this restaurant after they moved from White Rock beach so we are so glad to have them back up and running in Surrey.    [24 Jan 2004 04:40:42]

What Happened to Luna Loca
Bad food, bad service, bad drinks and bad coffee. The new Luna Loca is nothing like the old one. The bartenders don't know what they're doing, the food was cold and small. Wouldn't go back!    [25 Jan 2004 17:21:54]

Great Mexican Restaurant
Luna Loca was recommended to us and we are glad it was. The food reminded us of Mexico and the service was awesome. The Margs were near the best we have ever had. We loved the decor! We will certainly go back.    [12 Feb 2004 17:44:24]

New Luna Loca?
We returned to Luna Loca after realizing that it had re-opened. Our first experience coming back (we understand that it was about 2 months after it had reopened) was wonderful. It was everything that we remembered and loved about the old Luna Loca.

We recently returned and were greatly disappointed. Our waitress was clearly someone who was new and did not seem to even care that we were there. Everything from that to the atmosphere just did not seem like the old luna loca that we knew and loved. I wonder what could have happened to such a great restaurant. Im sorry to say that we won't be returning and can't recommend it to others. (And what's with the x-mas decorations?)    [29 May 2004 17:44:11]

The food has not changed (it is still wonderful) and the service is great. If you are one of those impatient people who cannot wait in line to eat at a restaraunt then you should go elsewhere. Sometimes restaurants have to make you wait longer than they initially specify because they cannot kick tables out. Luna Loca is one of my favorite restaurants, I have been going there for several years and have never once had a bad experience. It is dissapointing when I see negative reviews that focus on new servers. Have some patience, new employees at any establishment take time to get good. Good Food... if you get it!
Normally we have been satisfied here, but recently service has gone downhill. Wait 20 mins for drinks order to be completed, asked where our food was after 30 min to be told we still had to wait 15-20 minutes... not good as we had children with us. Explained that we would have to leave, received no apology at all and we were told that we could not leave until the drinks were paid for.    [26 Aug 2006 14:54:50]
