Surf Club Review Food I have tried almost everything they have. From chicken fingers and fries to wraps, from fish or steaks to stir-fry. Their food is very consistent.
The presentation is better than you would expect from a little restaurant just off the beach/boardwalk and the texture and flavor is amazing, if you do not want the hot dog from the boardwalk kiosks. You can get a real meal here even while being 'at the beach'. My only problem is that it take very long from order time until it actually gets to your table.
Service The servers are young friendly and usually full of energy. They can answer almost any question you throw at them. They were always ready to offer recommendations. They were super attentive and friendly. They were often hard to find when it came time to pay the bill but only because they are attending to other tables to ensure amazing service.
Ambiance The retaurant is cleaner than you would expect for being right of the beach/boardwalk. Its theme is a Bar/Beach House feel. The patrons consist of mostly local and staff and a few beach-goers. [..] The music playing in the background set the perfect atmosphere as did the bands on the weekends. The bathrooms could be cleaner, but over all a great experience.
I would recommend this place to anyone who wishes to have a casual, fun, leisurely dining experience. I admit I may be biased because I am a former employee, but I'm sure most would agree with me. I don't believe they take reservations so just pop in between May and August and enjoy yourself. [21 Sep 2004 17:03:29]
