Used to Be My Favorite Restaurant; Not So Much Any More They don't take reservations, and there was a group of eight of us, so when we got there they said about 10 mins. We went and sat at the bar and everyone ordered drinks. Their soft drinks tasted really bad, so we complained and they did nothing.
Then they start setting up a table for 20 people who I do not think they were there before us, so they come over to us to tell us it is now going to be more like a 45 min wait unless we want to split up. We decided to because we did not want to wait that long. We get to our table and there is a huge hole in one side of the booth and bits of food all over the table.
This used to be my favorite restaurant in Winnipeg but now I am beginning to rethink that! [18 Jun 2003 17:08:39]

Great Service I recently went to this Applebees location and received great service. I found all the staff to be very friendly and our waiter was very helpful. She recomended the enchilada and I found it to be very flavourful. It was very busy in the restaurant, but I still felt that the food came in good time. [08 Dec 2003 01:30:23]

Tastes like McCain's Superfries to Me Poor menu, so I got chicken fingers. I could have bought them at Safeway and made them at home. Same with the fries that they seem to be really cheap with. [02 Jun 2004 04:47:42]

Never get the all you can eat ribs It was my birthday and we decided to celebrate with some all-you-can-eat ribs. I ordered a sandwich plate, my sister did the same and our boyfriends ordered the ribs. Food was great, service was to be desired. We didn't mind very much, afterall it was quite busy. After I finished my dinner, I decided I needed to try these ribs. I grabbed a rib from my boyfriends plate and took a bite. It tasted yummy. When the waitress came to clear some of our table, my boyfriend tried to order another plate of ribs. We were then informed that there was a "no sharing" policy and that his all-you-can-eat privileges were revoked. After we tried to explain that I had ordered an entire meal and that I was merely TRYING his ribs and she stared back at us blankly, we asked for a manager. The manager understood the difference between sharing and trying a little better and finally offered my boyfriend a "doggy bag" of ribs. We wanted compensation for our bill because it wasn't all you can eat. No such luck. We cleared up our bill and have never stepped into another Applebees franchise since. Recommendation: If someone wants to try your all-you-can-eat ribs, pass it under the table. [24 Feb 2007 03:14:38]
