Very disappointed in Fred's Dined at Fred's 16/7/06. There were four of us we had two visitors with us. The restaurant was very busy but we were able to get a table. An hour after we had placed our order we still awaited our meals! The waitress needless to say was overworked and the surrounding tables like ourselves were asking what the holdup was. The meals when they arrived were not up to par. One guest had halibat the salmon had run out and the poor fish looked as if it had seen better days! The other three had bubbly seafood casserole. There were no bubbles as it looked as if it had come out of the freezer into the microwave. The rice was hard in places and not overly warm in fact it looked as if it had been made some time before like a day or two before. [18 Jul 2006 13:55:47]

Bad food. Service was ok but food was terrible. Their club sandwiches are made with canned flakes of chicken. [04 Sep 2006 20:29:54]

Fred's reputation spreads far and wide! We met some friends at the Holiday Inn, near Heathrow Airport, London,England for the first time in 45 years. We live in England and they live in Halifax. Imagine our delight when we discovered that everyone's favourite place for Fried Clams was Fred's in Cap-Pele! Can't wait until we can get back there again. Keep up the good work!
